Description

The trail will be useful for every walker to get to know Kolkasrags better, enjoying the touch of the sea, the beach and the wooded dunes. Dress warmly in autumn and spring and bring binoculars for bird watching.

The route includes two most popular sights of Kolkasrags: cape Kolkasrags and Kolkasrags pine trail. Cape Kolkasrags is a place where the waters of the Baltic Sea or the Gulf of Riga and the Gulf of Riga meet. Kolkasrags stretches for several hundred meters like an underwater mourning and at the end of the mourning stands the Kolka lighthouse, and on the shore - the ruins of the old lighthouse. This is also the most significant place for bird watching in Latvia.
