This trail will lead you back in the past of some thousand years, and it goes over the backs of kangari and valleys of vigas. Kangari are old dunes and vigas are wet depressions between the dunes. Such complex has formed when this territory was still under the sea.
In spring and autumn, vigas face changes — they flow full with water and appear as small seasonal lakes. Viga of pond Pīļu dīķis had been flooded for a while, but now it has been drained, and the viga is subjected to tides.
The trail will lead you to lake Pēterezers allowing crossing remains of a former narrow-gauge railway.
Walk can be continued along the boggy bank of the lake where you can meet several protected plant species.
